How to remove the network names in the lock screen?

So it shows up on the upper most left of the lock screen and it seems to be blocking my notification icon for new message(hoverchat, if it matters). using s6(also if it matters)

I've asked that question myself and never got a response.

That was one of the cool things about my old Moto X 2014, it had a setting box you could uncheck and it would remove the AT&T from the status bar. I haven't seen this ability in other phones though.

I believe you need root to remove it.
