how to replace droid start up sound ?

Ive googled and searched around and nothing worked for me ?can someone point me in the right direction ,im looking to replace the droid sound on the boot screen with something else . any help ? thanks and happy new year

ok from what i remember (really dont like sound on my bootscreen) go to system/media there should be a bootanimation.zip and another audio file .. replace that audio file in the same name and format with your new sound

there is no audio file in the boot animation .I found it before under vzw boot mp3 on stock now im running skyraider i cant find it anywhere ?

name the file android_audio.mp3 and place in the media folder then reboot ... if not check if the audio is in data/local

SkyRaider 3.5 doesnt have boot up sound .Just has the andriod waving at ya ....ha as its booting up.

my bad .. just switched to that rom didnt know it wasnt in thier, but i was trying to add a custom sound , tried to add it to the bootanimation .zip got nothing
