How to restore ding for Google microphone

I tried a few things and none of them worked.

I love that little ding when I tap the mic icon and now there seems to be no way to restore this.

Any fix that I'm not aware of?

OK, it should be Mic open notification. Try turning it off, restart your phone and turn it back on.

I just did that and still no ding. Is there another setting that needs to be adjusted? Perhaps in the phone's accessibility section?
