how to return to stock for update....

I rooted me Atrix using GingerBreak and loaded it using adb.I also did the webtop hack.
I am on. 83 and my phone is doing well.The reason I ask is because I was thinking if another update came along how would I update since Im rooted it'd be impossible.
Gingerbreak has an unroot feature....does it really work?
Would I also have to remove the webtop hack to return to stock?
Can I apply updates for software any other way other than returning to stock?

Webtop hack on previous versions had to be removed prior to the .83 OTA update, or at least that is what I understood b/c I did not have it. You just flash the.83 SBF or the SBF for the new update from everything that was posted at the time. Previous times you have not had to worry about unrooting, the update just killed root, no other adverse effects.

I see yea i used adb to load gingerbreak then on the phone just pressed root and also used adb for the webtop hack apk.im just worried if an update comes along and i cant unroot how will I do it.Also since att has announced it will allow sideloading from here on in the Atrix will eventually get sideloading and I dont want to miss out on that.

I was rooted on 5.7. I simply flashed to 8.3 using RSD lite.

You can do the same, flash to the next update directly using RSD lite and SBF file. If the next update is not available, or if you need to be stock for some reason, flash to 8.3 then you'll be bone-stock-factory.

every download link i've found for the SBF 1.52 or 1.83 doesn't work or is expired. can someone link me to one that works?
