I thought about buying this phone, extremely good specs for the price, but I wanted to make sure I can root it without problems before buying it, if any one could give me recommendations for a phone with the same price range and specs, I'd be grateful.

Are you serious? That tutorial claims to provide root access simply by installing a (dodgy) app and running it. WTF?
