How to root a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 with android 6.0.1

Taking my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 to South Korea for a 3 month stay and understand I need to root it to use with SK Sim card

Try XDA's S5 section for your model S5. There are probably a few programs you can flash with Odin. (Verizon and AT&T Samsungs have been difficult since Jelly Bean.)
