I really need help on how to root this device I tried everything like towel root to kingo and Vroot. Can these generic tablets have root access?

Information on this device

OS: android 4.4.2 KitKat
Kernal Version:3.4.39
Kernal Architecture: Armv7

Sent from my Q8H using AC Forums mobile app

I have found a way on how to root this device, look up PDAnet on google play then download pda for your computer/laptop and now you can use kingo. I just rooted about three days ago using this method, I hope I helped somebody who needed help rooting this specific tablet.:)

I"m still talking about the foneso tho...I"m not sure if that's the same one you are or if you gave up on that and bought an allwinner as a separate device...

This is a Tethered Root!

Hey guys thanks for pointing me in the right direction with the PdaNet. So simple! I didn't realize that this is only a tethered root, but who cares! I can permanently root it now. Once again thanks alot! BTW, I used PdaNet+. Don't know if it makes a difference but it works. Installed it from the web to my PC (Win 8.1 x64) and connected over USB. This is on an A23P KitKat 4.4.2, 3.4.39 kernel, build # polaris_p860-eng 4.4.2 KVT49L 20141113 test-keys.

Neither pdanet nor kingo are any good for me as they won't run on my PC. One must wonder why, in order to administer a Linux system, one is required to be running an MS system?

Does anyone know of any Linux tools that will crack an Allwinner Q8H. Slackware for preference.

Cheers, Kimdino
