How to root S5 active

Hey everyone new here, but not to customizing Androids. I have been doing a lot of research on how to root my S5 active and think I'm just out of luck.. Posting this in hopes that some genius in here knows some way to help out.. U really need my S5 active rooted please HELP...

What is it that makes rooting impossible on this phone/firmware? Seems like the previous firmware was rootable or did I miss one?

I have been trying to time rooting it for a year, every time I go to do it I find I have the latest firmware and it is to new and nobody has rooted yet. Then before I check back to see any progres I get another forced update.

This time the OTA gave me the option to only DL over wifi, so I shut off wifi hoping to root it and stop the updates for the future.

AT&T and Verizon sneak in a mega locked down bootloader and unrootable kernel with a new, forced, update and... voila! No more rooting or downgrading. Make no mistake, this is not a stock Samsung thing. Their models are easily rooted. See, also, #1.6 of 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Figures I waited 1 or two OTA to late to really address the issue. Thanks Iron!
