Has anyone rooted his/her zf2?? And if yes was that easy and convenient as I've heard that rooting phones with x86 processors are quite a bit of pain.

Also apps like king root & rashr works on zenfone 2??

Yeah, bt I just wanted to if there is someone who has really rooted his/her devices coz actually rooting a device is different from jst reading it on website. I wanted to know the experience from a real user who has rooted their zf2

Well in the future don't post multiple threads with the same question. You could have asked in your original thread if anyone had anything new to contribute.

Since you've asked twice and no one has responded with personal experience, it would seem that at this point at least no one reading has anything to offer on the subject. Like I mentioned, there are several people in that other forum that have rooted that you can ask questions of who do have the experience you are looking for since you're not getting any answers here.

The only reason I want to root is for installing viper4android and improving the speaker output and quality. But I don't want to miss out on these frequent updates. Hmmmm.

You can always unroot and manually install it and then re-root. There is a thread on XDA about how to do it successfully. Of course, if there are going to be frequent updates and you want each one, then it may be more bother than it is worth to you.

I rooted and OTA updates still work without having to unroot. I used Titanioum Backup to freeze apps, deleting is not a good idea. I got both updates for July 2/3.

Can't help you on the Viper app or improving speaker output.

U did it through an app like SuperSU or manually?

Rooted here too and staying this way till I see new version of lollipop show up and by the looks of it maybe a while.
I did the SupperSU root, the one click root and it works awesome and honestly why unroot if everything runs sweet and have good battery life.. Like i said need to see a major update to unroot.
