How to save Android Apps and restoring after Re-rooting?

Newbie question. With the inpending BN update, how do you save and restore your android apps(especially the paid ones)?

If you make a backup before the update, you can restore just your data from advance restore.

I use My Backup Root (free). It can backup all your apps.

If you purchased apps from the Android Market, Google will remember and let you DL them again if you need to. If the app required you to input a purchase code, you will probably have to again.
