How to see if a text was delivered/recieved?

I have a Galaxy S4 and I'm on VZW, I've enabled delivery reports but don't see recieved/pending, all I see is sent (which it also says for messages I know were delivered.) Anyway I can find if the message was recieved?

Delivery reports don't mean that you'll see a status in your text message. It merely means that it will send, if supported by the carrier, a delivery report request. The user still has to approve it for it to send you a message back.
