How to set device as default storage for contacts

Hi I have a Galaxy S5 and was wondering if there's any way for me to set the contact's default storage to my device because from the call log I only have the option to save it on sim1 or sim2 (i'm using the s5 duos btw but I don't think that should matter) Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! I don't have a definite answer, but is there a choice to save it to your Google Contacts? That would be what I recommend, because then the contact is automatically saved to your Google Contacts in the cloud, and you don't have to worry about losing your contacts if something happens to your phone.
