How to set Messages to show on lock screen

How do I change the settings of Android Messages so I can read on lock screen?

Settings, Security & Location, Device Security, Lock Screen Preferences, On The Lock Screen, Show All Notification Content.

This is under 8.0.0 yours may be in a slightly different location but it should be close.

It won't give me the option to show all content.. Is weird..

I can only find the option going to the app itself. If doesn't show under security or location.

I only want Messages (SMS) to show on lock screen and keep everything else private /secret showing that there are emails or whatnot

Meant under notifications under settings to to Messenger and this is what it shows. I can prevent anything to show on the lock screen or hide sensitive information

See mine has three options:

• Don't show at all
• Show all notification content
• Hide sensitive notification content

Maybe when you get 8.0.0 it'll work as you desire. If you need it more finely tuned than that, you may have to go with a third party solution.

I'm on Nougat and have the 3 options show all, hide sensitive information and don't show at all
