Hello All,

Help needed. I have dabbled some in rooting, read like a zillions of forum posts and am definitely not a an expert. I have recently navigated myself into sort of a dead end street and do not know how to get out of it.
I have a rooted M8 with TWRP, SuperSU (S-On tho). Am on 4.4.4 and want to upgrade to Lollipop. I am aware I need to restore stock. That is what I did and probably that is where I effed up -- I have an Asia WWE unit and have applied a European recovery one. The OTA update process reports that the package expects an Asia WWE 4.4.4 or 5.0.1 but I have a Europe 5.0.1.
Questions:
- I cannot seem to find the link to a usable Asia recovery, anyone can help me out perhaps?
- Is there a way to extract the recovery image from an OTA? I have OTA_M8_UL_K444_SENSE60_MR_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.32.707.9-2.22.707.4_release_398958qolv1sj4mfwgae00 and OTA_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_hTC_Asia_WWE_4.19.707.2-3.32.707.9_release_4142056btf22d04su84d68 -- can anyone provide me with step by step instructions here?
- If none of the above works, is there a way to apply 5.0.x somehow without resetting/wiping the device?
Any help would be much appreciated.

If any system file has been modded or tampered with the OTA will fail. You use the supersu app to un-root flash the stock recovery and give it a go. Try to find the most recent recovery.
