How to stop Facebook from "sleeping" overnight?

I have this annoying issue with Facebook where when I go to sleep at night, all the notifications do not show at all. Then when I wake up and turn on the screen, all of a sudden all the notifications come at once on the top of the screen. Comments, tags, etc. Is there a way to get that fixed ? I would like to wake up and have the notifications in order and at the original time it happened. Not when I wake up all of them blow up my phone.

I'm experiencing the same behaviour with ESPN and Sofascore notifications. I would also like to understand, as I've already turned off battery optimization for these two apps.

Not sure there is a fix. It's been happening on every phone I've owned since the Note 4 days.

Yeah I have that off too and it still does it.

Did this by any chance start happening to you after installing the August 1 security update? I'm wondering if it's a side effect of that release...

I believe so but I'm not 100% sure. It did start recently

Try: Settings > device maintenance > battery > unmonitored apps > then add Facebook to the list
