How to stop Google Maps from starting with AA

I have asked the above question on various forums and have not had a solution. Can anyone help here? All I want is for the home screen to come up when AA starts.

That IS the home screen on Android Auto, though... Unless you get a modified version that allows it (i.e. 3rd party solution), there's no way to change that default behavior.
