How to stop Google Play Store from updating itself

I want to disable the Google Play Store from auto updating itself, every time I uninstall the updates it installs it again soon. I want to keep the older version because the newer version prevents me from downloading some updates.

I don't know of any way of stopping play store updates as they are automatically updated.

Which phone? For play store itself to stop getting updated maybe disable it but then u can't use it .

Guess just keep resetting it back to factory load
I use a package blocker to lock Playstore down if I'm not actively using it.
It's way too busy an apk... raising hell and using data in the background. Typical Google junkware.

Factory load? Lock Playstore down? If you don't prefer Android, get a Apple. You're not getting app security updates keeping it from updating. Eventually, you'll glitch out too, or be forced to update to use.

Yeah, that will happen if not already. Playstore enforces its own update.

Try reset Google play by long pressing it then tap info scroll to storage and clear cache and force stop.see if apps download again
