How to stop my Inspire from checking my email

I don't plan on using my phone for reading email, but it does check mine since I activated my Yahoo account on there. Do I just need to un-Sync my Yahoo account for it to stop checking?

if you go into menu, then settings from the home screen, then accounts and sync, you should see your yahoo acct there. you should then be able to just un check whatever you dont want it to sync.

The only option there was "Sync Contacts". I unchecked that, so I'll see if it works.

Go into the mail app and remove your yahoo account.

in your mail app go to menu-settings-send and receive-update schedule
you can set the time/frequency of syncs.
