how to take a screen shot

I have read a lot of threads on how to do this and can not find and software that allows me to do it, cant install android sdk tools. any other ideas?

Didn't know they had that out. Good stuff for non-rooters, but $5, ouch. Should be built into the damn phone already.

Looks like a great app. But... The only thing that sucks about this app is it requires u to connect ur phone to ur computer before it works. That wouldn't be a big deal except if u restart/reboot ur phone u have to then reconnect to ur computer again before the app will work again.

Thanks for this. I had temporarily forgotten about this app. Your post reminded me to download it and try it out.

Very cool. Only takes a minute to hook up to your PC to "enable" the screenshot capability on your phone. Then you can disconnect it and take and save as many screenshots as you like - until you reboot the phone.

Not a bad way to deal with not having root.
