Hi all,

I just received my nexus 4 on Monday, 02/11/2013 and haven't used it since first day. When I turned it on on first day, it was around 90% and I turned it off after. All i did was scroll around on the nexus like the preloaded apps and options for maybe an hour max. Just yesterday on Friday, I turned it on and it was completely dead. I read somewhere that the standby time was approx 16-19 days and its only been 4 days, and i turned the device off. I was wondering if its a battery defect of some sort so I can request exchange. How can i test the battery if its normal, like for apple, i can let a movie play continuously to compare it to the data apple gave to see if its the same.

Another thing is that my nexus does have the earpiece buzz, when i put it on my ear, i hear this buzzing noise that kept beeping then there is a pause maybe half a second here and there. Even when the screen is off and even on. I was wondering if this is a big deal or is common as many people complained about it. I currently don't have a plan so i cannot test the call option if its buzzing while calling. Should i ask for exchange?

Also the update was downloaded today of 4.2.2 (currently running 4.2) and I wanted to know if I should update it, but I do want to use lte option /menu later since I am in Canada and it does work on some carrier.

And is there any other defect or problem i should check for other than these?

Thanks very much in advance!

Earoeace buzzing coukd be the phone or just service. Ive notice ifbyou dont have great coverage the call quality isnt as good.

As far as battery it could very well have been it was just left on while in the warehouse and while in transit. I would wait atleast 3-4 charge cycles and see how you fair from their.
