How to tether my Galaxy Tab E with WiFi turned on.

In the past I've been able to use WiFi tethering on my tablets, until this latest firmware update on my Galaxy Tab E to 7.1.1. now when i use tether it turns WiFi off.

What i'd like to know is if there is a way without rooting my tablet to keep WiFi on while using tether.

(OP here forgot to sign in) I have a desktop pc that does not have a wireless NIC. i used to use my tablet to get my pc online while connected to the wifi at my previous home because it was a pain in the *** to run ethernet cable. I recently moved and ran some cat5e cable throughout the house and no longer needed it. but for some reason the cable is not working at the moment telling me my pc is not connected to a network. so i was using my tablet to get back online for a couple days till i can fix it. night before last my tablet auto-updated to android 7.1.1, and now when try to use usb tethering if tells me i cannot use it with wifi turned on. basically i have to use my data plan.
