How to transfer file from pc to S3 through USB cable?

i just bought this phone recently and have something urgent needed to transfer some of the file from pc to my samsung S3.
But it failed. i need help!!:'(

WiFi File Explorer PRO: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.dooblou.WiFiFileExplorerPRO (there's also a free version)
This will do away with any USB cable woes.
Is your phone in MTP mode when you connect to the PC?
Are the drivers correctly installed on the PC (ie the phone is recognized; no yellow bangs in Device Manager)?
What was the error message that you were getting?
