How to transfer pictures from Photos APP to gallery on samsung s6

I backed up all photos from my old phone Samsung s4 (which is now completely dead) and transferred them to the new one Samsung s6. Apparently they can be only seen on a APP called photos but not on my gallery. How can I move them. Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! It depends on if the S6 Gallery app can display cloud photos from your Google Photos (it might also be called Picasa). Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and see if there is a Gallery or Picasa option--make sure those are checked on. There might also be an option in Settings>Accounts-Samsung​.

I don't have my s6e anymore but from what I can recall, the stock gallery can't access Google photos
