Last few days, I see dark mode on my contacts and when I pull down the top Settings icons. How do I turn it off? In Display, Advanced, Device Theme is Light.

I thought I got a reply that said pull the Notifications down and turn off Night mode. But I don't see a Night Mode in the notifications, just a Night Light.

By default some of the actions not displayed. You should see edit option in quick panel that gives you option to add more functions. Night mode is one of them.

I can't seem to find it.I pulled down the notifications and found Edit, and found Night Light and Invert Colors, but couldn't find Night Mode.

I erased my reply as I thought you had a Samsung phone , are you on beta ?

I have a Google Pixel 2 XL
Setting ---> display options ---> and here it is.

Thank you Michael Detwiler for posting that (the Settings you referred to was from Phone Contacts, not Phone Settings), but unfortunately, the Dark Mode setting was greyed out claiming it was turned on in my Device Settings.

Searching the Internet, I solved it. I searched for "android "device settings "dark mode" on the Internet. From there, I found an article that had instructions on how to turn it on that worked perfectly to turn if off:

To enable Developer options, open up Settings, then tap on “About phone.”
At the very bottom of this screen, you’ll see “Build number.” Tap that seven times. This will give you access to the Developer options, which you can then find in Settings by going to System > Advanced > Developer options.
Scroll down until you see Night Mode near the bottom of the first section of the menu.

Hope this can help anyone else who does not want Dark Mode.

I see that I have the following option without enabling developer options.

Dark mode got turned on, on my phone (Pixel 3A) and was grayed out on the Settings Display page. I believe this was turned on as a Power saving default. When I went to the Settings Battery page and turned off the Battery Saver switch, I could turn off Dark Mode again.
