How to turn off Extra Large Smiley faces, or emojis, on texting app.

This just started last night, when I send a smiley emoticon with no text, they come out HUGE! But they are normal size on the recipients end. Also, they are normal size when sent with text.

I have a screen shot if someone would be so kind as to tell me how to add it here.

Which app are you using for texting? If it's the default app, which phone are you using?

I haven't used an HTC device in a while, but I seem to recall that pinching to zoom in/out was sticky. Have you tried pinching in over the huge emoticon to zoom it down back to original size?

Did you by chance receive a recent update? Perhaps your emoticons/emoji received an update with a higher resolution, but are now only scaled down when they're in-line with surrounding text. That's just pure speciation on my part though.

Well I got a new update about 1.5 weeks ago....but this just started last night out of the blue.
Maybe a factory reset is in order. That's just such an inconvenience.
