How to turn off Huawei optimiser app notifications

Since the lastest update each day I get lock screen notifications from the optimiser app telling me I have apps that have significant storage (Netflix, Spotify). I have gone into the app and turned off all notifications but I still get them. It also seems impossible to delete or force stop the app. Any ideas? Thanks

What if you go to the Settings>Apps menu, select the Optimizer app, then Notifications? Are there more options there?

No. For some reason Huawei decided to not allow the user to deactivate Optimizer notifications (see screenshot).
This results in getting a notification with EVERY call or message from a blocked number, which defies the point of blocking a number in the first place.
Sad, but true.
