Android Central Question

I've recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I have to say it's a magnificent system. One thing I especially love is the ability to "Touch Lock" your screen when you're playing a game.

I can also appreciate that when you leave your phone on while a game is active and you haven't touched the screen awhile, it'll automatically turn on this screen lock to save you battery.

The problem is, I've been playing Resident Evil 4 on the Dolphin Emulator, and I've connected an external controller to play, but since I'm not touching the screen, it randomly activates the screen lock, and darkens my screen mid-gameplay.

This is extremely irritating. How do I stop my phone from doing this automatically, and if not doing it automatically, how can I turn off this feature overall?

TL;DR:

I want to turn off the touch screen lock during games on my Note 9.

There are various screen lock times, but "never" isn't one of them.

I've figured out how to make it stay unlocked during games c: when you are on your game, just swipe up your home button controls and there is a little symbol on the left next to your app selection. Just tap it and it should give you the option to turn it off c: and you should be able to play your games without interruption.

Not the lock icon, the one that is on the other side in the screen shot, its in the options for game tools

I figured it out when you are in Dolphin there will be an icon in the very very bottom left corner of your screen, click it and go to advanced game features and the option will be in there!!

That doesn't do anything.... When I press the lock icon. All it does is lock the screen.

You have to press on the gaming icon, not the lock icon.
When the little side menu opens, tap on the cog on the corner for settings.

it's gonna take you to the Game Booster Settings.

There you can chose the amount of time to activate the Auto Screen Lock - and you can select "none".

But is there a way I can turn it off altogether to make my phone shut off completely if I'm not touching the screen during a game? Meaning, instead of setting auto screen lock to "none" and having the screen on forever, can I do the opposite and have it turn off completely? Would I have to uninstall the Game Launcher altogether to do this?

I know it's an odd request, and they installed the auto screen lock feature specifically to resolve this issue, but sometimes I start up a Minecraft world and have to walk away for a while to do something else- or completely forget that I'm playing altogether. I've died and lost all my gear + items several times because of this now, so I'm willing to just have my phone shut off completely. If not, I guess it's alright, I know I should've been more careful in the first place but >:/ I'd like to turn it off >:(.
