I just got a Droid Maxx, but which has android version 4.4. When I go to system updates under settings to check manually for system updates, it says "download in progress" but it never seems to finish. Sometimes on my main notification screen it says something like "waiting to resume system update when data connection". I went to Motorola device manager on my PC and it said software was up to date.

My first question is, is this where I try to update the android version to 4.4.4? Second, if I can't get this to work, can I go somewhere to update it manually with a USB cord instead of OTA?

thanks!

By the way, if it matters, my latest system version is 21.11.21.en.US, while another place says my system version is 19.6.3.obake-maxx.Verizon.en.US

Under settings/about phone you should see your system version. 3 lines below that it should give you what Android version you have installed on your phone. What do both of those say? If possible take a screen shot. Also make sure you battery is charged above 50%. It doesn't hurt to be on a WiFi connection.

It says Android Version 4.4.

The battery has been charged more than 50% and I've tried using wifi in addition to 4G data.

thanks

I'm sorry guys...I started wifi, went up very close to my wireless router, and the 4.4.4 update/download started...not sure if that had anything to do with it, as I had tried on wifi before (good signal everywhere) and also on my 4G. It's installing now so hopefully it works out.

thanks
