How to update app in watch?

I just want to update Endomondo app in the watch as they have a new update.

What I did so far was updated Endomondo via Google Play on the phone. I did connect the S3 with my phone via bluetooth, turned on Gear on the phone, app, check Endomondo and it says it has the latest version. I'm just wondering that version is only in the phone or is the app in Gear S3 updated as well? There's no way to check the version number in the Endomondo app in the watch.

Apps on a Gear watch come from Samsung via Gear, not Google Play. Versions on the watch do not match phone versions from Play.

I made sure I read the instructions on Endomondo. Have to BT connect phone & watch, then update the app from Galaxy Apps. The updated files will be transferred to the watch.
