Hi.
My LG Optimus G (E975) is still running Android 4.1.2
It's come to my understanding that I can update it to 4.4.2 but when I manually check for software updates it tells me I am up to date.
How do I do it?

Thank you.

Right now the only way to get anything other than 4.1.2 is to root and put a custom ROM on. Those rumors of 4.4 coming to the LG OG haven't come true yet.

hi.
I believe that there is kitkat livable for the e975 now. if you have a buggy device( and you can't get the the OS for some dumb reason. it happened to me, just cause i didn't have a sim card and used it w/o a phone plan.), then you should, as itr themes said, get a custom rom. but wait! there's more! in my experience with the e970, i was able to get the artmod rom. it gave me the look of the lg g3. there are many roms out there which are just a .zip of the acual operating system on a later device, just with a few modifications. XDA is the best place for roms and stuff. right now i'm running stock android lollipop on my e970. i can't get over that recent apps panel. personally, i really think you should try out the more geeky side of android. a few roms have floating windows...for any app you want, not just select QSlide apps. so yeah...go away from LG's UI
