How to upgrade from 1.5 to 2.1

Just bought a used Eris for my daughter and want to upgrade from 1.5 to 2.1. Where is the upgrade. Can't find on HTC site. Is it available OTA? How do I get it. (I don't want to root).

i also need to know. i had so many problems when the 2.1 update came out, i told my son not to update. now he's stuck on 1.5 and i'm feeling bad.
