How to use a live wallpaper only on lock screen

I'm trying to use a live wallpaper but apply it only to the lock screen, and I'm stumped. I know that there are generally 2 methods, one where you go to the app with the wallpaper and select something like "apply to lock screen only", and the other where you download it to the gallery and change it from the edit lock screen settings. The problem is, neither of those is an available option for me. I've tried 4 live wallpaper apps so far: Zedge, Walloop, GRUBL, and Live Wallpapers HD 4K. All of them have only 1 option to "set wallpaper", which will change both the home screen and lock screen at once. None of them actually downloads it to my phone. Do you know of an app or setting that will let me do this? Or is there a website I can go to manually download live wallpapers in common phone resolutions? I'm using Android 15. I recently upgraded from Android 8, where this was easy and straightforward.

On Android 15, most live wallpaper apps don't give the option to apply a live wallpaper to just the lock screen. They usually set it for both the home and lock screens together, and they often don’t allow direct downloads. One workaround is to manually download a live wallpaper video (MP4) from sites like Pexels or Coverr, then use an app like "Video Live Wallpaper" to apply it. However, Android currently doesn’t support setting a live wallpaper on the lock screen only unless you're using a custom ROM or rooted device.

Why has Google done this to me?
