How to use Chrome as a pen window! no root needed

Newest method is preferred to open apps like officesuite, mxplayer, bsplayer,astro file manager etc.
click on a google play store link and choose open.
How simple!


I just discovered an easy way to make proper pen windows!

Make a browser pen window.

Try to open a pdf file. (Google search 'apple manual pdf')

When asked which app to use, choose Chrome. (Or Dolphin, ez pdfreader etc.)

/you may need to clear defaults to be prompted.

Enjoy.

Neat, but you have to open a pdf every time you want to use Chrome in the pen window.

No...do the following.

You can either leave it and minimize to chat head (my preferred method)

Or set the pdf file link to open when browser is opened using the following methods. (make it your homepage, or if you cannot ie:sprint homepage make the pdf link the last thing opened when closed.)

Then save chrome as default device for pdf.

You can open another new pen window by repeating.
I have chrome, dolphin and ezreader open in separate pen windows.

I wonder if that'll work with any other type of file types, like Office docs... or does it only work with Chrome (as in, if selecting an app that actually opens a PDF it won't open in the mini-window)?

Works with boat, dolphin, chrome, ezpdfreader when a pdf is hit.
Click an address to open a google maps pen window.
A play store link for the play store.
An email link to open gmail or messenger or gmail.
An mp4 to open a video player.
An audio file to open an audio player.
