How to Use Fring & Qik

I am having trouble using Fring and Qik on my EVO.

Qik - When I open Qik, I get a "create account" or "sign-in" screen. I created an account and tried to activate it but got a message that stated my phone number exists. Can't get past that point. Is Qik still not working?

Fring - I downloaded Fring form the Market. I created an account and assigned only my contact list. I opened Fring, selected a friend's number to video chat but it only calls my friend. I don't see a video icon like on the fring test call.

What am I doing wrong? This is frustrating.

Skype works on fring... aim doesn't

I can't get the Skype add-on to work with Fring on my Evo. I enter my Skype login and then it hangs and says it can't connect. It's a little frustrating, any ideas?
