How to use that little USB transfer from device to device?

I saw in the reviews Google includes a little USB connector for device to device transfer? How to use it when I get my Pixel 5 to transfer everything on my Pixel 4 to the 5? Will it reatain all my settings, apps, etc? or would the apps still need to be re-setup and logged in to?

If you are coming from a previous pixel device, the phone will ask you to connect the USB C cable to both phones and it will transfer most data. You may have to re-download apps, but that is all part of the set up process. It is pretty easy.

If it's anything like what came on the Pixel 2XL, it'll prompt you during setup and ask if you want to transfer from an old device.

Same for me from my Mate 20 Pro to the Pixel 5... Apps screen savers and settings all came over. A few needed passwords confirmed though.
