I've had an ipad for the past few months and it's gotten me to enjoy tablets, the only reason I pull out my PC anymore is to torrent and load the media because ios sucks. However, the only two things I use a laptop for anymore are easily available on android because it doesn't suck. I'm torn between the s2 and S but definitely leaning towards the S, unfortunately none of my local stores have an updated tab s that I can play with. If anyone has some spare time to answer a few questions it could help my justify wasting a hefty chunk of income :)

How's lollipop?

Is it smooth with a sd card in? My note 4 slows down a little with an SD and ios may suck, but it sucks buttery smooth.

How's the android tablet apps selection these days?

What might be your gripes?

Anyone have a tmobile unit? Do you lack anything beyond LTE with CM12?

My biggest gripe is how the Android tablet uses memory. Adding memory with an external sd card is not the same as adding internal memory. They are different, and the internal memory can fill up quickly. Most apps install in internal memory.

Any other gripes?

I have the TMobile Tab S. I have had it since May, and since I have Jump! I am thinking I will Jump to the S2. Here are my reasons:
1. Storage - Tab S 16, Tab S2 32. May seem like you can toss stuff on the storage card, but only three of my apps are available to put on the SD card. Such a bummer :(
2. Battery life - Honestly, it kinda sucks :( I have heard that the battery life on the S2 is better, even though the battery is a bit smaller.
3. For some WEIRD reason I feel like my S goes thru my data crazy fast! Never had that issue before! Maybe it is my apps? Who knows, but I am hoping that the S2 helps to solve that problem.

That totally helped, but since I'm coming from Apple storage isn't really a concern unless the sd card causes lag. My iPad is 16 gigs with no chance of having more, so a 16gb tablet with 128 gb media storage would be amazing :) You should have a data meter in settings that can tell you what's burning through your plan. Is the os smooth though? Anything that causes regular hangups? Any common apps you've found that aren't optimized for tablets or apps you want that only exist on iOS?

I've had an tab s 8.4 for a year, it's lagging really bad

Are you running a custom rom or stock? I've heard it slows down a lot over time but haven't heard if there are roms which fix that. My note 4 only beats a note 5 if it's running custom ;)

Ive had my Tab S 10.5 since Dec '14 and just love it. Had no issues that others have had, but I do not load it down with grime and stupid stuff. Never lags...never "coughs", either..ha Hell of a device and I like the battery life. I also have a laptop and use tablet much more. I am not a gamer... one charge will last me approx 2-2.5 days and I am not on it all day long either. I am one of those that has to come up for air occasionally.
