How's the external speaker

Thinking about picking up the alpha and will be coming from a note 3.

I often use the external speaker for listening to some podcasts and putting it on speaker phone for conference calls etc. For music I stream to a bluetooth stereo so music quality of the speaker isn't too important.

Just wondering how the alphas external speaker compares with the note and S lines.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I find it loud and clear. Even from the one speaker on the bottom right. Great volume and richness.

IF you get the 850M which is made for North South America and Caribbean but factory unlocked the Speaker is very full and clear.
In quiet room I can hear Tune In and Iheart from 50 feet away! On Internet Radio like Iheart or Tune In Talk Radio -loud .
Surprised when I got it- much fuller than AT&T Qualcomm version which is fairly loud but tinny.
850M is louder/ fuller/clearer by far.

I believe the alpha in Canada is the 850x....not sure if that plays any role.

The Canada Alpha is 850 W you can see it on Canada Bell Site.
I have not seen or heard that one but it is a Qualcomm quad core so similar to AT&T Version USA -except the Canadian version has Bands for Tmobile/Metro PCS USA -So a good choice for Tmobile -if unlocked.
Probably best for Tmo is the 850M as it has the Exynos and a different Audio Chip- and better speaker- cool Black Menus and dialer is Dark Green like Note 4.
