I've been getting horrible battery life lately. When I go to the office it drains so fast, i'll be down 40% by lunchtime, with no usage (or little usage). Cell Standby has been the culprit. However, I'm wondering if Wifi is really to blame? Last half of the day I turned off Wifi (there are a lot of signals I can latch on to in my building, but all are password protected), and I got better battery life. Now at home I've had it on for 2 hours after a full recharge, a little bit of music playing, and I'm still at 99% battery. So I'm wondering if it's something to do with all the wifi signals in the office building and the phone trying to latch on to them, but unable to connect to any of them. THat's the only difference between home and work....oh, and I changed the S Voice settings today too, to turn off the "auto on" with a voice command, since I had heard that can also reduce your battery (didn't solve my work issue, until the wifi was turned off too).
Thinking about doing Tasker on this, so I can have it check for location, and turn Wifi off if at the office, or just not at home or an approved location. Was out at a restaurant last night, and lost 20% of battery there, without any usage.
