I know it all depends on where you are but...... anyone have better or worse reception since you got the U11?

I have an LG V20 side by side with my U11 at home and I get 4 bars consistently with my V20. My U11.... I'm lucky if I have ONE.

Anyone care to share?

My reception has generally been excellent.

I am on at&t and I can hold on to calls in places that I would drop calls on the HTC 10. Question, are both phones on the same carrier with sim card inserted? If so look in settings and compare the actual dB signal strength as the bars are not always a good indicator of signal strength.

I am on T-mobile and yes both phones same carrier - I haven't been getting dropped calls or anything like that I was just wondering why my bars were so way off.

It could simply be the difference between the two phones software. On the U11 go to settings, about, Network and check the signal. Then do the same on the LG. If the signal is about the same don't worry about it. If it's a big difference you may have something wrong with the U11. You also might want to download LTE Discovery and make sure you are connected to the same tower and band.

After 2 weeks and some traveling in my work area and home where my AT&T signal is always marginal at best, my U11 is much better than my AT&T branded phones. Never have no signal, no spinning wheel searching for a signal in my signal strength indicator, and looking at cell signal at the end of every day in the power / battery usage, a few orange spots here and there absolutely not one red section, haven't lost my cell signal one time, even out in the middle of driving through somewhat desolate sugar cane fields in the middle of a thunderstorm here in south Florida.
