what do you think of the 10 in 2017? is it still worth it? need your opinions on it plus if you have any tips, pros or cons. lastly do you think that it will receive android o?
I got my 10 in March 2017. I'm one of those 'Root' guys. After researching all other available phones, I found the 10 to be on on par with the Nexus, with the S7 being a distant 2nd. Apple was never a question.
Armed with an unlocked bootloader (The major advantage over all others), and the ability to warranty despite root through HTC (The best advantage!). I was able to root, remove every unneeded app, and start with a clean slate to craft my device the way I wanted it.
Performance has never been an issue, very snappy, no lag, never a random reboot, and awesome build quality. I never lost a phone to water (Who does that?), so waterproofing is not a factor. A very beautiful phone to hold (rendered moot because massive case), and takes all the punishment I throw at it. The cellular antenna is not as great as I would like, but the audio quality more than makes up for never having a full signal bar.
Did I mention there is an amplified earphone connection? Good luck with that on the U11. If it matters. It should.
I find no reason why my HTC 10, fully converted won't last me 3 years. It's an all around great phone out of the box for anyone. You will be pleased.
