HTC 10 SD card formatted as Internal Storage

The original HTC 10 phone has died, the SD card was formatted as Internal Storage, is there any way to read this in the replacement HTC 10 ?, I have restored the latest backup settings from Google Drive.

I don't believe so. If I remember correctly, the phone warns you that you'll be unable to use the card in another phone at the time you format the card as internal storage.

Plug the card into a computer. Can you read the file system?

It's not recognised in a computer, I've run recovery software and it finds a number of .SWF files which i presume is HTC encrypted format
