I'm thinking about picking up an HTC 10 while the Note 7 recall settles down. I've seen the 10 gets good reviews and it seems like the consensus is that it is a very solid, yet underrated device. Does anyone have any feedback in terms of what you like, and not like about the HTC 10?

I notice more people carrying them recently. It is a solid well built phone. The only complaint I see is the price. The aluminum construction is badass. Check out some abuse vids on YouTube...that sold me. Its picture taking ability is only slightly bested by Samsung. Battery life is outstanding. I can use this constantly at work 12+hrs and still have 20% for the drive home. Best phone I've had in a long time.

Like mine. Got a mint cond. off of Swappa as full price was to hard to swallow. Speakers were better than I had expected after trying 2 in store when they were released. Sound rich and full. Maybe less volume but better sound quality. Coming from 3 phablets I really enjoy this size. Doubtful I'll ever go back to 5.7".
Like sense and blinkfeed for the first time ever. Also rotate between 2 other of my preferred launchers. Try it, you might never go back to Samsung. I used to be a Sam fan, no more. One thing though I and some others have noticed the wifi and RF seems less than normal. It's not been an issue at all just is what it is. Never dropped calls and callers say I sound good. Never lost wifi connection either, just use it at home.

Yeah unfortunately for HTC the 10 doesn't seem to be getting much press, but it is an incredible device. I absolutely love it and it is one of the best Android phones in a long time. The only downside is the price but if you can justify that over 2 years or more, then go for it. I think you'll be impressed. It's a beast and the camera is quite impressive. The software flies as well and the audio quality is pretty top notch too.

I have htc home a go when it was in beta, on my xperia Z2, it's definitely showing signs of brilliance when it comes to fluidity etc. I will be back to Android one day, and looking forward to their high end devices once again.

I used the recall as an opportunity to switch to the 10 - don't regret it at all, have had the phone for about 5 days now. Solid phone with great performance and an interface that is very intuitive. I have no gripes - my favorite thing is that it never lags or gets hung up like the N7 did (for me). Also, battery life is great - as an example, went to bed with 87% and woke up 6.5 hours later with 81% this morning. Android Auto app works seamlessly with my VW system. The phone feels solid and fits my hand well. I recommend the 10 with full confidence.

+1, Yup, battery life is great and the no lag is fabulous!

I love my HTC 10. The build quality is amazing, the audio quality the best. Sense is very good but not perfect. Sometimes I wish it allowed more icons on a home screen.
Speaking about the not so good things, sometimes the gestures when the screen is off do not work 100%. I also miss Nougat from my former phone (Nexus 6P), but that is coming.
The hardware buttons are good, but sometimes I wish they were positioned more towards the edges of the phone.
Another negative is that Ok Google does not work when the phone is on standby.
The camera is very good, no complaints here. The display is amazing and I prefer it to the one of the Nexus 6P. This phone has character. It is definitely the best phone I ever owned.

I'd also recommend it. I've always liked HTC's phones but figured I'd try Samsung when the S7 Edge came out (I had an upgrade to burn). It's a great phone (screen and camera outstanding) but, due to the software, I never really warmed to it. In terms of hardware, the S7 Edge is great - but TouchWiz remains a confusing mess, at least to me. Once I had another upgrade last month I picked up an M10 and am much happier. Zero complaints with this phone.

EDIT: I'd also add the the fingerprint scanner is MUCH better on the M10. I hated the scanner/button on the S7 and the touch pad style on the M10 is more pleasant to use and much faster.

it's gonna get better... mine used to go down like that too when I first got it but lately it has only been going down like 1-2% overnight... i'll go to bed with 59% and wake up with 57%

I thought nexus were the only phones that did that... the 10 only does it on standby if it is plugged in charging otherwise the screen has to be on

I sold mine after 2 weeks of owning as I wasn't happy with the battery life and the camera is horrible. You have to stand super still to get a good photo otherwise, one slight movement you make and the photo appears grainy with a lot of noise. With the Galaxy S7 or iPhone 6S/SE, you simply point and shoot and it takes good photos every single time.

I love the HTC 10, best phone I've ever used, very fast, premium feeling, battery on this phone lasts all day long, takes amazing photos, and sound quality with headphones is nothing short of incredible. I highly recommend the HTC 10, only thing I dislike about this phone so far is I can't rearrange my quick settings in my notification bar yet.

Why not just wait for one of the new Nexus/Pixel phones with Nougat day one at this point? I had an unlocked HTC 10 and the software was just OK. When I discovered the really weak NFC on mine that was the last straw. Yes, I could have had it exchanged but just sold it. Marlin is in my future...

I am finding just the opposite. I stream music for 10 hours at work using bluetooth speakers, use android wear for taking calls and texts and I have 65% when I get home from work. I never had a phone that could do that. My coworker has to charge his S7 half way through the day. And I have yet to take a grainy or blurry photo, unlike the M9 which was always blurry. I point and shoot all the time and am very pleased with what I get. I feel the images are just as nice as my wife's 6S. Grab shots in restaurants look identical, unlike my my M9 which I gave up using because the camera was so bad.

Well I was trying to get another note 7 as I am still using mine however with the most recent new York phone burning the kid I just can't do it anymore I am hoping they come In tomorrow if not I am going in to the store to get the 10 well hopefully I can pull the trigger and not talk my self out of it I just like the note series as I don't care to have the s7 edge with out the stylist I wanted the v20 but no word on release date and I am not an ios fan have considered making the switch it i just to different for me even though I'd like to have i message and face time cross platform
