I like the "gold" (which looks more like nickel) but will likely go with silver since it's available for pre-ord. Black/Grey phones get misplaced too easily for me and I usually wear dark clothes, so contrasting accessories are good.

I have the silver back on order but I have to admit, the more I see it in video, the less I like it. The back side looks great, reminiscent of my old M7. But the front, I feel like that silver edge around the front of the black is distracting. It isn't like the Nexus 6p where if you only see the front, you have no idea what color backside it is. Know what I mean? Isn't the point of a black front so that bezels don't distract from the screen? It seems that silver edging all around the front would be distracting. This has me thinking of switching to the black/black version.

Eh, once you own it for a month, you probably won't care. I get worked up about minutia like that too, really bad, but when I thought about the M8 which I've been carrying without a case for over 2 years, I couldn't honestly remember if it was silver or grey until I pulled it from my pocket. Lol!

Black front silver back for me, unfortunately in the UK it's a white front and silver back. I much prefer a black front, so I'd go all black!

Black front silver back for me, am from the UK too, unfortunately in UK they only got white front silver back and black on black which I don't like also so I've ordered from the USA so I can have black front and silver back

For me silver since the fingerprints are more visible in a black back. Both colors look great and it comes to personal preference.
