Does the genunie HTC/VZW desktop dock support automatic landscape, and does the Rezound have a unique screen for that? Anyone have any photos or videos of this?

The Rezound can go into landscape view in dock mode.
I tried doing some screen caps for you, but I couldn't get them to function during dock mode. To try it out, open up your Clock app and go to Desk Clock. From there, hit the dock mode icon near the bottom.

Yeah, all you have to do is tilt your phone sideways (if you're talking about Landscape view.)
Also, there's a setting to make it launch into Dock Mode automatically when it's plugged into the dock.

The HTC dock has built in circuitry which causes the phone to automatically go into dock mode.

However, it is possible to see dock mode without the dock. If you press on the clock in the home screen you will get this: (see the attached screen shot) and there is an icon in the center bottom for dock mode.

When you do this you can see the screen both upright and sideways.
