Wide Portrait screen

I want the larger screen so when in portrait mode, I might be able to use the keyboard with my thumb.
My Droid, and now Incredible are too narrow and my thumb is hitting the wrong keys all the time.

I had a VZW rep take me outside with a moto droid and an Inc, and the Inc had a usable screen (although I believe it had an anti-glare screen protector). They key to outside is to have a bright background. I think we need an app that uses the light sensor to adapt the background on the phone, this would be a big help.

That said, I'm still getting the EVO instead, well engineered old tech generally beats first gen tech.

I really wonder why the Evo and Incredible have 16bit screens. I would have paid a bit extra for the 24bit screen.
