HTC E8 headphone jack on a new phone won't connect via Aux Cord, what can I do?

HTC e8 headphone jack on a new phone only two weeks old

Im having the strangest issues with my headphone jack, when i first bought the phone it worked fine and actually it still does when i connect it via aux cord for my home stereo or car stereo. Now when i go to use my head phones only one side works. I have tried two different types of head phones and verified they were both in working order via the computer. Does anyone know whats going on? Thanks for your time

Welcome to Android Central! So any headphones that you plug into the phone play only out of one side?

Inspect the jack closely--is there any debris in there? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, or a damp toothpick to root around.
