HTC Emailed Pre-order offer

So last week I received the promo email to save $100 on the pre-order of the HTC 10. When I went to use the code however, it wouldn't work. Talked to a rep and they said they were having issues with the code on their end. He told me to pre-order anyways but would not guarantee they would honor the offer. Now I am torn because I really want the earbuds that come with the phone (not available through carriers in the US). But $700 is a lot to fork over outright. $600 felt like the sweet spot, and I don't feel it is right they offer me a discount to pre-order, then take it away. Has anyone else had issues using the promo code HTC1008?

Just tried the code from my iPhone using safari (don't know if that would matter) but it works. Try it again.

If they offer it, issues or not, they are bound to honor it.

Especially if the issue is on their side, which isn't your fault nor your problem.

That is correct and it has been confirmed multiple times now. There's a thread specifically for the head phones in this forum.
