Hi,

I have an update waiting and I'm concerned. The main reason I want 2.3.x is I want to have the ability to join a Google Hangouts from my phone.

My phone has been flashed to MetroPCS because Sprint made me angry.

My current version that is on this phone is 2.2.

Jerry and Phil sent me.

I appreciate any help or guidance you awesome people can offer. :)

Well, one things for sure....DO NOT INSTALL the official ota from Sprint if your on Metro, to many issues could arise. I would just root it and install a 2.3.X ROM and be done with it. :)
Check this thread out as well......[ROM] MetroDroid v2.2, AOSP Web & MMS Script

Yep, camel has the right idea with this one.

Theoretically you could flash it back to sprint, do the OTA, and flash it to cricket again. But, there's no point if you can root and flash a rom instead :p
