htc evo 4g lte reboot when wifi is on

At times i do details at the local ballpark signal strength is horrible there, so i turn on wifi and, after doing a few things the phone starts to reboot and the battery life take a crap but it only seem to happen there. Also the phone seems to be roaming..I don't know if its searching for multiple signals such as wifi and network simultaneously while operating my social apps, and or whatever game i have played along with the browser...Any suggestions please :-\
