HTC Evo 4G LTE - Stock Email application Font Size

Does anyone know of way I can keep the Stock Email app font size to always display the smallest font? I have set the font size to small for each of my email accounts. In order for me to view the emails in the smallest font size, I have to double tap each email in order for the font to decrease to the smallest size. Is this just a bug in the stock email app, or is there a way have all the emails display in the whatever font size I choose withouh having to double tap each email?

Also, I would like all the display to pictures to show up without having to hit the "Display images" button for every email. Is that possible also?
